I have been playing field hockey since I was eight years old. Throughout the years, I have played additional sports, but my passion for field hockey only grew. I cannot imagine my life without the game and the lessons I learned. I push myself to give it all I have on and off the field. The 2021-22 indoor season is my 8th year playing for Central Penn. I work hard academically and athletically. I am among the top 5% of my school and I maintain a 97% GPA. I plan to major in an engineering field.
While playing field hockey, I work hard to grow and learn as much as I can. I also value the friendships and bonds I have made throughout the years. I always want to keep growing as a person and player because I know there is always room for improvement.
Academically, I hold the same values. I push myself to grow as a student. There is so much to learn. In college, I want to be able to continue to increase my knowledge and prepare me for my future. It is important to me that the school I choose can fulfill my academic needs.
As a person, I try to be as involved in my community as possible. I want to make a difference in the world. I started CV Engineering to help other students, who like myself, want to become an engineer, but don't know what field. I want to help them find out what their passion is. I am involved in CV Mini-THON because I believe in the message and want to help find a cure for cancer. I am involved with student council because I like to help out and improve my school in as many ways I can. I am also in the Student Leadership Cabinet because I see the potential in our school and I want to make sure that everyone can look back at Cumberland Valley with a positive outlook. Key Club is important to me because it allows me to be involved in the community, not just the school. I like to give back to the community that has given me so many opportunities to grow as a person. CV Africa allows me the opportunity to learn about different countries, religions, and overall ways of life. It has brought me new perspective to the opportunities I have. I am involved in both the National World Language Honors Society and Mu Alpha Theta because it allows me to increase my knowledge of both languages and mathematics. I also appreciate being a Center Penn Field Hockey mentor because it allows me to help out future hockey stars. I always looked up at the older girls playing field hockey and I thought they were so good. I want to give the chance of knowing an older athlete to the younger players of the club.
